Madi grew up in Austin, TX, and after attending Vanderbilt University, she spent four years living in Washington, D.C. Before moving back to Austin, she took a few months to travel and explore Australia and Bali.

Madi and I have known each other since the 6th grade, and became close friends in high school. Since then, she has been by my side for so many unforgettable moments—especially ringing in the New Year together year after year. She’s always up for a spontaneous weekend trip, whether it’s a fun ranch getaway or a perfect boat day. Madi is also one of the smartest people I know—she graduated #3 in our high school class (though we all know she should have been #1), and one of my favorite memories is watching her open her Vanderbilt acceptance letter. In college, she’d come visit me at Ole Miss for football games, and those weekends were some of the absolute best. Madi is the kind of person you can always count on—for an adventure, for advice, or for anything you need.

As one of my Maids of Honor, Madi brings her unwavering friendship, sharp wit, and effortless fun to every moment. She recently ran the Austin Half Marathon, and of course, we were all there at sunrise with mimosas to cheer her on—now we can’t wait for the next marathon watch party! She’s also a fantastic boat captain, and we are forever grateful for all the lake days she makes happen.

Sara grew up in Burnet, TX, and now calls Austin home. Though we shared family connections and mutual circles growing up, we didn’t actually meet until college. In 2017, just before her freshman year at Ole Miss, her aunt introduced us, and after one lunch together, we instantly clicked. That fall, Sara joined ADPi with me and soon became my little in the sorority. Since then, we’ve made countless memories—from celebrating our 21st birthdays together and attending the Taylor Swift Eras Tour to craft night sleepovers, football games, and fun nights out in Austin and Oxford. We both love going all out when it comes to party planning, and back in college, we took decorating for sorority pregames very seriously. Sara is a true ride-or-die—one of the most loyal, fun, and energetic people I know.

As one of my Maids of Honor, Sara has been by my side for so many special moments, and I couldn’t imagine this day without her. She played a huge role in making my engagement so special—long before Taylor even bought the ring, Sara had been taking notes on everything I ever mentioned about rings and proposals. By the time Taylor was ready to work with the jeweler, she had a mile-long list in her Notes app of all my preferences, ensuring that the ring was absolutely perfect. She and Taylor spent months secretly planning every detail, making sure the proposal was everything I could have dreamed of and more.

Beyond being an amazing friend, Sara has been with her high school sweetheart, Slade, for years, and together they have the most adorable ragdoll cat, Roxy. Sara did competitive cheer in high school, so naturally, we made her compete for our sorority every chance we got—just so we could be her loudest fans.

Daria grew up in Atlanta, GA, where she still lives, but with her parents now in Rosemary Beach, FL, she makes plenty of trips for beach weekends.

We met in 2017 when Daria rushed ADPi, and we quickly became inseparable. From meals at the sorority house and late-night study sessions in the library to tailgating in The Grove and nights out, we did just about everything together. Senior year, we were roommates and had the best time living within walking distance of our friends across the hall and down the street. One of our most unforgettable experiences was our senior year spring break road trip with Danielle—we planned stops in Nashville, Rosemary Beach, and Birmingham, only for the world to shut down due to COVID while we were on the trip. We were told we wouldn’t be returning to school, and we had to navigate the start of a global pandemic together—an experience we’ll never forget!

Daria and I have always loved capturing memories, from taking disposable camera photos at sorority events to documenting our fun weekends together. Even after college, we’ve had so many amazing trips—visiting each other for birthdays, music festivals, football games in Oxford, and even a trip to New York City. One of the biggest surprises ever was when Daria managed to make it to Austin the day Taylor proposed—despite being at a wedding in South Carolina the night before! She and Sara were incredible in helping Taylor plan the details of the proposal, and I’ll always be so grateful for that!

Daria is also the reason I’ve been obsessed with The Toast podcast since 2018—she introduced me to it, and I’ve listened almost every day since. She has a sweet dog named Archie and a wonderful boyfriend, Graham—we love them both! Daria has a special gift for taking photos and making sure every moment is captured, and some of my all-time favorite memories are captured in the photos from the disposable cameras we carried around in college.

Heather grew up in Germany before moving to San Antonio, TX, in high school. After spending a few years in Austin with Hunter, they settled in New Braunfels, TX, where they now live.

Heather is more than just my bridesmaid—she’s my future sister-in-law! As someone who grew up an only child, I always dreamed of having a sister, and I couldn’t be luckier to gain one as wonderful as Heather. From the moment she came into the picture, Taylor and I’s relationship with Hunter only grew stronger, and we’ve loved every moment of getting to know her. Whether it’s double dates over sushi or intense Mario Party battles, we always have the best time together. I’m so grateful Hunter found someone as kind, smart, and fun as Heather.

This past November, Heather and Hunter welcomed their beautiful daughter, Gracie Joanne, named after Hunter and Taylor’s grandmother. She’s already the sweetest addition to the family! On top of everything, Heather is incredibly driven—while pregnant, she finished Nurse Practitioner school and walked the stage at graduation when Gracie was less than one month old. She’s now preparing for her boards and will soon begin working as an NP. I am so proud of her and beyond grateful to have her in my life!

Kailey grew up in Laconia, NH, and after attending Ole Miss, she lived in Memphis, TN, and Chicago, IL. She and her husband, Toby, currently live in the Dallas area but are already looking ahead to their next adventure—possibly New Hampshire!

Kailey and I met on Big-Little Night during our freshman year of college when we were paired with the same “big sister,” making us “twins” in ADPi. At first, I was honestly a little intimidated by her, and apparently, she was equally unsure about me—her freshman roommate, Katherine, once told me that Kailey came back to their dorm that night and said, “Yeah, I got a twin. Not really sure what to think about her—she’s been dating the same guy for like eight years, so that’s kinda weird.” (Hahaha!) Thankfully, by sophomore year, we became great friends, and by junior and senior year, we lived just a few houses down from each other, sharing so many fun nights pregaming at “The 414” before football games and nights out. Kailey has always been the life of the party but is also someone you can always count on.

In April 2024, Kailey and Toby planned a trip to visit Austin with some of our college friends. When they arrived, they handed everyone scratch-off tickets, and while I was just focused on seeing if I’d won anything, they surprised us with the best news—Kailey was pregnant! Their announcement, with beer and champagne bottles that read “I can’t drink this, but you can! Baby Hardwick coming December 2024,” was such a fun and unforgettable moment. Kailey and Toby welcomed their son, Hatch Michael, in December, making her the first of my friends to have a baby. They are already incredible parents and the best role models for the rest of us.

When Taylor proposed in November, Kailey was basically on bed rest, just days away from her due date, but she still tried everything she could to be there to surprise me. Her doctor literally had to forbid her from coming! That’s just the kind of friend she is—always showing up in whatever way she can. Kailey and Toby also have three adorable dogs, Luke and Titan, making their home even more full of love and chaos!

Katelyn grew up in Seaside, FL, and now lives in Wilmington, NC.

We met in college when Katelyn was set up on a blind date with Taylor’s best friend, Carson, for a fraternity formal at BSC. We were assigned to share a room, and from the moment we met, we immediately clicked (and so did Katelyn and Carson—they’re married now!). After that, I loved visiting BSC and hanging out with both of them. It was such a relief to finally have a girl to text “What are you wearing??” whenever I was heading to a fraternity event. Katelyn quickly became one of my closest friends, and even after college, she and Carson have made many trips to Austin to visit us.

In 2023, Taylor and I had the honor of standing by their side as part of their wedding party. Getting to experience that together was so special, and it’s a memory we’ll always cherish. Now, whenever there’s a BSC wedding coming up, my first question is always, “Are Carson and Katelyn going??” Since they live in North Carolina, we don’t get to see them as often as we’d like, but every time we do, it’s like no time has passed. Katelyn and I always stay up way too late catching up, just like we did in college. She and Carson are truly one of the most perfectly matched couples I’ve ever met, and I’m so grateful that their relationship led to such a special friendship between us.

Katelyn and Carson also have a dog named Goose, who has a unique history—he was actually adopted by Carson and Taylor when they were college roommates. It’s always fun watching Taylor and Goose interact because you can tell Goose still remembers his puppy days living with Taylor!

Lizzie grew up in Austin, TX, and still calls it home today.

As our parents used to say, Lizzie and I “have known each other since before we were born!” Our families have been close for years, and we spent so many holidays and vacations together growing up. From learning how to ski and camping trips to floating the river, countless weekends at the bay, and epic Fourth of July celebrations, we’ve shared a lifetime of adventures. Lizzie was even there for one of my many childhood ER trips—when I, being the clumsy kid I was, collided heads with our fetch-obsessed lab, Otis, while playing catch. That incident left me with stitches and a permanent eyebrow scar, but at least I had Lizzie there for moral support!

Even as we grew up, our bond remained strong. Lizzie visited me at Ole Miss twice during college, and those weekends were so fun. Now, one of my favorite traditions we’ve developed is our weekly happy hour with our moms for “Wine Wednesday” or “Tini Tuesday.” There’s something so special about looking around the table and seeing people you’ve known since childhood!

Lizzie graduated from UT in 2023 and is now in graduate school studying audiology. I love hearing all the fascinating things she’s learning and, of course, reporting back to Taylor about how he really needs to wear ear protection when shooting and stop blasting his music so loud!

Maddie grew up in Austin, TX, and after graduating from UT, she and Daniel moved to Houston while he attended law school. This past August, they finally moved back to Austin, and we are so happy to have them back here full-time!

Maddie and I met in 2016 when she started dating Taylor’s best friend, Daniel. Back in college, Maddie traveled a lot, and almost every time we made plans with Daniel, he’d tell us she was out of town—so much so that we started joking that she was actually made up. Thankfully, since college, Maddie has been around much more, and we are SO glad she’s real! Over the past few years, we’ve spent countless weekends together with Taylor, Daniel, and the rest of the boys, and through those experiences, we’ve built a strong friendship. Maddie truly brings out the best in Daniel, and they complement each other in every way. I’m so grateful that he found someone as wonderful as her!

Some of our best memories include weekends at Red Rock Ranch and Encina Ranch for Fourth of July and New Year’s celebrations, as well as beach trips to Port Aransas. We also share a love for live music—together, we’ve seen Flatland Cavalry (twice), Turnpike Troubadours (twice), and Charley Crockett, three of our favorite artists. Another favorite tradition of ours is skiing—while Taylor and Daniel take on the tough slopes, Maddie and I stick to the greens before meeting back up at the lodge for drinks and card games.

In December, Maddie and Daniel adopted the sweetest golden retriever puppy, Honcho. Over the last few months, we’ve had a blast taking him along for day drinking in the beautiful weather. Maddie is also effortlessly hilarious—her firecracker personality was one of the first things that drew me to her, and she’s always the life of the party when we hang out.

Meredith grew up in Austin, TX, and now splits her time between Austin and Switzerland. She played soccer at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, before transferring to a school in California. While at Fort Lewis, she met her boyfriend, Lalu, who is from Germany, and together they’ve been traveling and exploring Europe ever since.

Meredith and I first met in second grade on the neighborhood swim team (go Sharks!). Growing up, she lived just a few doors down from the Sheridans—my parents’ best friends who had three boys—so it was always nice to have another girl around when the boys got a little too rowdy. We became close friends in high school and have stayed super close ever since. Meredith is one of the strongest and kindest people I know, and I’ve loved keeping up with her European adventures through her travels with Lalu. Every time she gets back, I make her scroll through all her photos with me so I can live vicariously through her!

Meredith has always been an incredible athlete—she was a college soccer player and still is super athletic. Since we grew up in the same neighborhood, I often spot her out on runs when I visit my parents’ house. She’s truly one of the most inspiring and down-to-earth people I know, and I’m so grateful for our lifelong friendship!

Naomi, who many of us still call Kate, grew up in Austin, TX, and now lives in London, England, where she attends art school. After graduating from UCLA, she stayed in California for a few years before moving back to Austin and eventually making the leap to London.

Kate and I met in sixth-grade choir class and hit it off immediately. Throughout middle and high school, we were inseparable—spending nearly every afternoon and weekend together. In high school, we swam on the swim team, and signed up for art electives like painting and jewelry-making (though Kate has always been much better at art than me!). Kate also happened to live on the same street as Taylor, which made for some super fun weekends. We spent countless nights swimming and playing games at The Boat Club, followed by sleepovers at Kate’s house and breakfast at Magnolia Cafe the next morning. Over the years, Kate has been there for me in so many ways, and I’m endlessly grateful for her friendship.

Kate is an incredible artist, and I’ve loved watching her skills develop over the years—every time she posts a new painting update on Instagram, I get so excited to see her work. She also shares my love for yellow labs—her family has two, Margot and Baby. Kate is a phenomenal boat captain, and I always look forward to lake days whenever she’s home in Austin. She also knows how to throw an amazing party and has a true eye for decorations.

Recently, Kate decided to start going by her first name, Naomi, again, and while I’m trying to remember, I’ll probably be switching between the two for a while!
